Cherokee County Real Estate NewsIn 2009 Cherokee County was ranked number 16 out of the top 25 Counties in the nation for experiencing the most job growth over the last 8 years by Money Magazine.
Money states that Proximity to Atlanta, Good Schools and an abundance of green space have caused a large influx of families to Cherokee County, additionally the new regional hospital and the several new large shopping complexes are responsible for 10,000 new jobs all by themselves.

Cherokee County Real Estate | Tax Credit is almost over
Homebuyers looking to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit for first time buyers, or the $6500 tax credit for Move-Up buyer's are quickly running out of time. Buyers must be under contract on or before April 30th or they are going to miss out.
That leaves a little bit under a month for buyers in Cherokee County which you may think is plenty of time but don't forget to take into account everything that goes into the home buying process. Wynchase a Martha Stewart community in Woodstock GA has dropped their base prices $30,000 combined with the fact that they will contribute between 3% to 6% if you use the preffered lender this means there are some great deals in there right now on new construction. The build-out on these homes is about 6 months so I hope you are not in a hurry, but being able to hand pick all your upgrades and design features will help pass the time.

So your loan officer, agent, friend or family member has told you to buy down your rate and you are wondering why nobody told you sooner!
If you had only known it was possible you would have bought down the rate on every loan you have ever taken out!
Before you commit to this course of action take a minute and take a long look at the numbers and see if it is really in your best interest.
A client of mine is currently being pressured to buy down his rate by the loan officer he is using. This is a new construction deal on a home he desperately wants, but isn't thrilled about the way the payments are coming out.
